they could raise some money by charging all those people who go to executive board meetings every friday for the sumptuous breakfasts which are laid on. they get five course breakfasts for nothing!

why don't they just get all the money back from LDL?

Rumour has it that LDL has a contract with DEFRA accepting calls relating to bird flu.

Today's Daily Post printed an article under the title " Link-up to Cannes," detailing the " city's participation in the world's biggest property event this March in Cannes."

Look on the website provided - www.liverpoolmipim.co.uk, and check out the Events for the 17th March 2007.

Warren, with Colin, in attendance naturally, will be hosting an "fairly informal dinner" at the an invitation only event at the " excellent La Potinier du Palais. "

How much will this junket cost the city ?

And perhaps more pertinently,
will they be drinking the tap water ? Or sticking to Evian ?

You couldn't make this up, could you ?

Enterprise..... Liverpool Direct .....Summer Pops Hellooooo? Anyone see where some cuts could be made?

i couldn't agree more with disgruntled eworker.

My suggestion is to ban all foreign travel by everyone who works for the city council or the culture company.

starting with the jaunt to MIPIM. these people have got a fucking cheek. Bradley is trying to take the piss. If he goes to Cannes on this jaunt at thesame time as he is implementing cuts he deserves to run a picket line at the fucking airport and i for one will organise a demo. the bastards must think we are fucking soft. sorry for the language but these tossers make me so angry. they spend our money without a thought and then cut our services. wankers.

YOU ARE SO RIGHT - YOU COULDN'T MAKE THIS UP. THEY HAVE ABSOLUTE CONTEMPT FOR THE PEOPLE OF LIVERPOOL - BECAUSE THEY HAVE GOTTEN AWAY WITH FAR WORSE IN THE PAST.WE ARE GOING TO HAMMER THEM FOR THIS. THANKS FOR THE TIP

The cuts will be found by privitisation of the Home Help service and putting residential homes into the hands of agencies and private ownership.
If you are old and you live in Liverpool, my advise to you ismove to an authority that cares about it's elderly and not about the cost of providing the services that you and I pay our council tax for!
